Powering connections: women shaping healthcare innovation

On Thursday 2 April, Oost NL and the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) invite you to an inspiring networking event bringing together women who contribute to healthcare innovation across borders.

This event connects female professionals working at international life sciences and healthcare companies, from biotech and pharma to medtech, digital health and data. It offers space to exchange experiences, discuss strategic challenges, and explore opportunities for collaboration within and beyond the region.

The program is designed to encourage meaningful exchange between life sciences and healthcare professionals working in research, innovation, market access, policy, business development and strategy in internationally active organizations.

Keynote speaker: Annemieke de Groot, PhD

Dr. Annemieke de Groot brings more than twenty years of international experience in clinical research, market access, healthcare policy, and innovation. With a PhD in pharmacology and executive education at Harvard Medical School, she combines scientific expertise with strategic leadership in international healthcare environments.

During her time at Harvard, she initiated an online e-learning platform on women’s health, for which she received the Global Healthcare Leadership Foundation Award for Excellence in Global Market Access & Healthcare Policy. She is currently part of the Foundation’s Leadership Team in Boston.

At IQVIA, a global healthcare data and analytics company, she leads the Dutch health technology assessment and real-world evidence department. In this role, she works with internal and external stakeholders to bridge healthcare knowledge gaps, with particular attention to women’s health.

Her perspective connects international healthcare business, leadership and inclusive innovation — themes that are highly relevant to the further development of the The Netherlands as a strong and internationally connected life sciences region.

Networking carousel

During the networking carousel, participants will rotate between tables, allowing them to engage in focused discussions on different themes, from international collaboration, leadership in global healthcare environments to more in depth discussions on key topic. This format stimulates in-depth conversations, strengthens peer connections and broadens the network of female professionals in the life sciences and healthcare sector.
