Vitalnext BV stelt prof. dr. Willem M. de Vos aan als lid van zijn raad van commissarissen. Willem M. de Vos (1954) is momenteel hoogleraar microbiologie aan de Wageningen Universiteit en hoogleraar human microbiomics aan de universiteit van Helsinki. Vanuit Oost NL hebben wij Willem de Vos voorgedragen. Vitalnext is sinds 2016 een participatie van Oost NL. Hieronder het persbericht.
Wageningen The Netherlands, September 14, 2017. Vitalnext BV today announced that it has appointed prof. dr. Willem M. de Vos as member of its supervisory board.
Willem de Vos (1954) is currently professor in Microbiology at Wageningen University and Professor of Human Microbiomics at the Universty of Helsinki. His focus of research is on the contribution of microorganisms to human food and health. He has (co-)authored more than 700 peer-reviewed papers, and was involved in the filing of more than 40 patents or patent applications. He has published several dozens of papers in Nature, Science and other high impact journals, is among the ISI highly-cited authors in Microbiology, and recognized in 2014 among the most influential science minds by ISI. His present h-index is over 110 (Web of Science) or 135 (Google Scholar).
Willem M. de Vos has received numerous awards for his contribution to science including an Honorary Doctorate in Medicine in Sweden and the Spinoza Award and Most Entrepreneurial Scientist Award in the Netherlands. In addition, he is also involved with many corporate activities and has been – and still is - associated with several companies in the fields of nutrition and microbiomics.
